Putting the "Customer" back into Customer Service!

John Ballard started Cowichan Petroleum Sales in 2003 feeling that there was a need to bring back local personal service to the Community.  It all began with John, Wayne Dobbs, Tracy Pitts(Bulcock) and Leesa Slade.  One truck led to another and soon Ken Bulcock was added to the staff. Darcy Pridham joined the team in 2006, followed by Mel Stevens and Tracy Torok-Both in 2007. John decided to retire in 2007 and Darcy took over the reigns. With Mel’s retirement in 2008 we welcomed Danny Tiesu to the crew. Wayne decided it was time to retire in 2009 and Darcy’s son Kevin came on board. It was with great sadness that we lost Danny to illness in 2010, but were lucky to have Chris Hearsey up to the task of filling his shoes. In 2018 Darcy decided it was time to retire from day to day work, but remains an active owner. John Dodds was brought back into the industry after years away to help fill Darcy’s shoes. Also in this year Tracy Torok-Both left us to start a new career in Real Estate. Will dIsendoorn joined the crew at this time as well to help out in many areas. In 2023 Ken had to take a step back from driving to deal with some health issues, so we were fortunate to have Evan Williams join the team to learn the ropes and navigate Salt Spring Island.

John Dodds – Office/Sales
After 16 years away, John is back on the Island and back in the fuel business.  Give him a call for all your questions.

Darcy Pridham - Retired Owner
Darcy comes with 35 years experience, keeping the family tradition alive in the Cowichan Valley, now enjoying his time off.

Kevin Pridham – Driver/Sales
Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, Kevin is following in the footsteps of his Father and Grandfather and has 15 years experience in the oil business.

Tracy Bulcock –Owner/Office Manager
36 years in the petroleum industry serving Cowichan Valley residents with pride.

Chris Hearsey – Driver/Sales
Born into the trucking industry, Chris comes with 15 years experience delivering fuel in the Cowichan Valley.

Ken Bulcock – Owner/Driver/Sales
After 35 years in the fuel industry Ken is stepping back from the delivery side of things but feel free check in with him with any questions you might have. He is also retired from active service with the Cowichan Bay Volunteer Fire Rescue after 31 years.

Will dIsendoorn - Office/Driver/Sales Brought up in the Cowichan Valley Will would be happy to deliver your lube oils to you or come on by and he can fill up your propane bottles for you. Now with 5 years of experience Will can answer many of your lube oil and grease questions.
